This Tupelo project involves a strategy for sustainable development of Vippetangen. It is the southern point of the peninsula in central Oslo and part of the urban renewel project Fjord City along Oslo’s waterfront. Vippetangen’s isolated position and industrial character makes it a misfit in this. The strategy for the regeneration of Vippetangen is to see this as a quality by keeping a fishinghall and a silo on the site. They function as a leitmotiv for the delevopment next to the fishinghall and behind the silo. A third striphas a flexible footprint. The three strips together form a square in which the silo in the middle is like a church. A green triangular space connects the area to the old forstress.
